Someone sent me a share link

Probably a homesteader you've been talking to about an animal. They use EarTag to keep records, and they sent you the link so you can see the animal's history without making an account.

Just open it

Click the link in the email. It opens a page with one animal's records — facts, photo, weight history, vaccinations, breeding records, notes. No login, no sign-up, no popup asking for your phone number.

Saving a copy

Want to print it or save it? Use your browser's print menu → "Save as PDF." Or hit print and use real paper if that's how you roll. The page is laid out to print cleanly.

If you're a vet

You're getting the complete health history this client has logged — vaccinations with dates and lot numbers, treatments with withdrawal periods, kiddings, weights, anything they noted. If you want them to share more (other animals, the whole flock), tell them to invite you as a Vet on the Members page — that gives you read-only access to everything, not just one animal at a time.

If you're thinking about buying

You're seeing every weight, every vet visit, every treatment, every breeding. That's the actual provenance, not a "happy and healthy!" sentence in a Craigslist listing.

If you do buy the animal, there's a Save to my flock button on the share page. Click it, sign up (it's free), and the animal copies into your new EarTag account as the first entry. Their records are yours from then on — you log everything that happens to her after the sale.

The seller's copy of the records doesn't go away — both copies are independent after the sale.

If the link doesn't work

Most likely the homesteader who sent it revoked it — they have a control on their end to turn off links they've shared. Ask them to send a new one.

Privacy

You're not signed in — we don't know who you are. The link doesn't give us your email or your name. If you sign up (from the "save to my flock" button or anywhere else), you become a regular EarTag user from that point on; see the Privacy page for what that means.

Something on the share page not working? You can let us know on the Contact page — no account needed.
