Managing your account

Everything that's about you — your name, your password, your phone, your notifications, deleting your account — lives at /account.

Profile

Your name, your mailing address. The name shows up to people you collaborate with; the address is used when you (eventually) buy a paid plan, for billing. Edit any of it and hit Save.

Email

Your email is your sign-in. We don't currently let you change it through the UI — if you need to (you changed jobs, you got a new domain), hit the Contact page and we'll move you over by hand.

Password

Change your password from the Security card on /account. Pick something you don't use anywhere else.

If you signed up with Google and want to also be able to sign in with email + password, the same page has a "Set a password" option. You'll then have two ways in — either still works.

Phone number

Adding a phone is optional. If you do, we send a code to confirm you actually own it. Once verified, two things unlock:

  • Two-factor authentication. Sign-in asks for a code we text you. Doubles the security on your account.
  • SMS notifications. Time-sensitive maintenance reminders by text, so you don't miss a withdrawal period.

Both are opt-in independently. You can have 2FA without SMS notifications, or vice versa. Remove the phone any time and both turn off automatically.

Signing out

Footer of every page → "Sign out." Or the Security card on /account. Either drops you back to the landing page.

Deleting your account

The "Delete account" option lives on /account. Click it, we email you a one-time confirmation link, click that, confirm one more time, done. Your data is hard-deleted:

  • Your owned flocks — and the animals, events, photos, and access grants under them.
  • Your access grants on other people's flocks (they just see you disappear from their members list).
  • Your profile, your sign-in record, your password hash.

No grace period, no recovery. If you change your mind a week later, you'll be starting over with a new account. Want a copy of your data before you go? Ask through Contact first.
